A collector selling to collectors.

My name is Davide Gambardella and I collect phonecards. The name of the store is a play on words: in Italian “Re Davide” means King David, hence the king you see in the logo.

I started as a boy, in the phonecard boom of the nineties. I set the collection aside during my university years and the first years of work, and picked it up again in 2010: since then it has never stopped.

My interest goes worldwide, with a special attention to test, trial, demo and prototype cards: the pieces that were never meant to reach the public. Among the areas I care about most are GPT and Plessey cards, African issues and Macau.

The cards I sell come from my own collection, and I also manage the duplicates of other collectors. There is no profit motive: whatever I earn is reinvested in other phonecards for my personal collection.
